Is the commercialization of Indian cricket good?

We have heard a lot about IPL and 20-20 matches and related stuff. We all also know the amount of commenrcialization that has happened to indian cricket.

Do you think this is good in the long run for Indian cricket?

For players it good and for team and citizens its bad.

Its good for everyone.
Players get good salary, teams owners get from sponsors, sponsors get public visibility, BCCI get a lot of money from ticket sales, Cricket gets more popularity and we get to watch quality entertainment.

But does ODI and test cricket get to gain anything from 20-20. I think these will soon be forgotten.

And a 20-20 match is luck-based. Luck does not play as a big a role in ODI and tests as it does in a 20-20 match where on a given day any player can hit a 6 or a 4 to win the match. The outcome does not reflect the talent of individual players.

The charm of ODI and test will never fade coz of T20.
As you said the real talent in cricket will not be seen in T20. T20 will just have 1 match charms.
